Come and visit a beautiful area of Monmouthshire and learn a new skill in a cosy, country workshop. Textiles at The Weir is a studio based at a working small holding on the outskirts of Llanddewi Rhydderch, a small village just outside the market town of Abergavenny.
We provide a variety of textile based day courses including hand and machine embroidery, felting, embellishing, fabric painting and printing.
Our courses cater for all abilities from total beginners to the more experienced people looking for new challenges and techniques.
All courses are taught in small groups up to six with lots of opportunities for one-to-one tuition. The aim is for everyone to produce piece of work by the end of the day.
A course focusing on small pieces of textile art developed using a variety of fabrics, threads, yarns, beads, embellishments and a range of hand stitching techniques using shades of only one colour.
