Come and visit a beautiful area of Monmouthshire and learn a new skill in a cosy, country workshop. Textiles at The Weir is a studio based at a working small holding on the outskirts of Llanddewi Rhydderch, a small village just outside the market town of Abergavenny. 

We provide a variety of textile based day courses including hand and machine embroidery, felting, embellishing, fabric painting and printing. 

Our courses cater for all abilities from total beginners to the more experienced people looking for new challenges and techniques. 

All courses are taught in small groups up to six with lots of opportunities for one-to-one tuition. The aim is for everyone to produce piece of work by the end of the day.

Bookings

Bookings can be made via telephone or email. Payments can be made with cash, cheque or via BACS. The balance must be paid in full in at time of booking.

Cost of Day Course £80, which includes all materials required for the day plus tea/coffee and biscuits.

Group Bookings

Why not get together with some friends and book a course together at the studio. We can cater for specific occasions. and work with you to tailor a course for your group. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are available if you fancy treating someone special. They can be bought for specific workshops or the recipient can choose one later.

Parking

Easy access free parking is available for all participants on site. 

Cancellations

If we have to cancel a course we will be more than happy to issue a credit note or reschedule your booking to another available course.  

Should you need to cancel your booking 3 months before the date of your course a full refund will be issued. A cancellation less than 3 months before the date of your course no refund will be issued.
